Ron Mears is a man with deep roots in the heart of Yakima where hard work, loyalty, and family matter most. His career began at the age of 14, playing in a local bluegrass band where he quickly became recognized as a virtuoso on the guitar. He eventually grew to share the stage with some of the industry’s biggest names: Charlie Daniels in Elko, Nevada; Keith Urban at the Sundome in Yakima; Michael Peterson and Parmalee at the Toyota Center in Tri-Cities. Naturally, professionals took notice of the Yakima native, and invited him to Nashville. But instead of moving to the Music City with hopes of furthering his career, he chose Yakima–the home he knew and loved, where he had already built a life for his two young daughters.

Ron’s mastery of the guitar lies at the core of his show, where he showcases an extraordinary range of musical diversity. He effortlessly transitions from classic country to modern hits, classic rock to bluegrass, blues to reinterpretations of beloved classics. He also shares original songs which draw from his experience of love, loss, and raising a family in the high deserts of Yakima. As a performer, Ron’s greatest joy lies in audiences swaying to the rhythm of his guitar, losing themselves in the melodies, and, most importantly, sharing moments that resonate with the power of music.
